Basically,Orange have offered me the Storm Sim free, so obviously I accepted..

They warned me however, that when Orange supply a BB they don't link it to BIS as they like to have THEIR phones on BIS.

Is this true? Also after reading how to use [insert here] on a storm on [att/tmob] I'm very confused. Should n't it work almost out of the box?

And coming from a tmobile iPhone I have to ask- will software updates work well? Even OTA?

They don't have to link it to BIS if they don't want to but it realy doesn't make sense not to. If you have another berry linked to BIS and you're using an unlocked storm w/ your sim you should already be on BIS. Then - your OTA updates should work.

Not on Bis, not yet with them. So basically its their policy because they want you buying their phones. But they can do it? Why are these peoiple on ATT and T (US) having such problems? like changing the software on updates etc..

Basically you need to get an unlocked storm or have one unlocked.
