So I'm looking around trying to find out what the max amount of mem I can put into my Storm. Searching through the forums and BB forums and most seem to think that 16GB is the max, but then I ran into this:
BlackBerry Device Software version Media card size limit
BlackBerry Device Software 4.2.0 Up to 2 GB
BlackBerry Device Software 4.2.1 Up to 4 GB
BlackBerry Device Software 4.2.2 Up to 4 GB
BlackBerry Device Software 4.3.0 Up to 8 GB
BlackBerry Device Software 4.5.0 Up to 8 GB
BlackBerry Device Software 4.5.0.81 and later Up to 16 GB
BlackBerry Device Software 4.6.0 and later Up to 32 GB
So does this mean that, with the Storms shipping with 4.7.0.75, they support up to 32GB?
Yes. That is what I have found. I haven't found a 32GB memory card for a reasonable price though so I can't confirm. I haven't really found a reason for 32GB in the phone yet anyhow other than to say I have it.

Not a stupid question at all. RIM confirms the Storm will fully address a 32Gb card.
Aside from capacity, what differentiates one card from another is whether it's rated Class 2, Class 4 or Class 6. A Class 4 is twice as fast or a Class 2, and costs about twice as much. Pay yer money and take yer choice. Storm on!
mr bear, your comment lead me to what may be a silly question. what comes in the storm. not what size but what class? in a google search sandisk has a 16GB with a 2 on it so i assume its a class 2. what class does the storm come standard with?
edit: i looked on the verizon site and all it says is
microSD™ memory card support: 8GB SanDisk card installed (device supports up to 16GB)
edit again haha: it must come with a 2, on the sandisk website it lists a 4 and a 2 8GB, the 16 only shows in a 2. after taking mine out it has a 2 in it from verizon
