When my Storm is charging it doesn't alert me of any calls or messages, and I think that its also happening when the phone is laying flat untouched.

I've looked around several different option areas and can't find somewhere to change it.

So if anyone knows what options should be changed to allow the LED and sounds while the phone is laying flat/charging that would be great.

I think I got it, went to the clock, then changed the 'bed-side mode' settings. Should do it I think.
