Does anyone else not notice a difference with audio boost? I have turned it off when it is at the maximum volume, and I notice no difference. I did it the other way around as well. Is mine just broken?
The headphone output is kinda weak without this, and not near as loud as the iphone or any other MP3 player.
There seems to be a bug in the OS that causes the Audio Boost to not function properly. Some say it makes a huge difference, some say it makes no difference, and others say that it gets reset when the player is interrupted and rebooting the phone will reset it. FWIW, it has no effect on the audio on my phone, even if I reboot. All we can do is hope that RIM is aware of the problem and fixes it in the next OS update.
I have the audio boost on, it seems to clarifty the muffled sound at max volume and the equalizer really helps which I set to bass boost and it helps too
