When I use the vibrate setting and choose custom to pick the number of vibrates either 1,2,3,5,10 and the bust length (short, medium or long) it doesn't work when I receive email, call, sms etc. Can someone point me in the right direction.

If you are using 5.0.0.XXX, make sure you edited the right profile. Now all profiles are editable independently.

im using 4.7 or whichever one, I know its not 5.0.23

Are you editing the right profile? Make sure you go into your sound profiles and edit the vibrate section. After you edit it then be sure to save the settings and see if it works.
