    The reason the Palm Pre can sync iTunes contents naively and the BlackBerry can not is because Palm decided to be slick and have the Pre emulate Apple's USB dev or vendor ids (don't remember which one.) So to iTunes, the Pre pops up and is recognized as an Apple device that can be synced with iTunes. Apple put a stop to that with iTunes 8.2 or 8.2.1, but Palm got slick again and reenabled it with a webOS update.

    yes i know how it works i just asked why the blackberry cant do the same.

    the pre lets you download any music you want from itunes, drm protected or not...

    so apple is moving away from drm...doesnt change my existing music that i already paid for...they need to go retroactive on that sh*t!
