This is not my first BB but my first storm. Is the storm a natural memory leaker? Mine leaks memory pretty good throughout the day. Also why does the DM always want me to upgrade to 5.0 when I have already done so? I am running 9530/5.0.0.328. Thanks

The phone itself doesn't leak bad at all, but there are a few apps and themes that zap memory. I don't have any leakage problem on my Storm, but search around this site and you'll find there are people describing their leaks.
