I just picked up a brand new unlocked Storm on eBay. I will be using it on AT&T. Anyone have any tips, tricks and suggestions for moving from my Curve 8310, as well as must-have software suggestions?

Obviously, before I do anything, I will make sure it's got the latest OS on it, which is....148 or 151?? Not afraid to hack. Have done it before. Just looking for guidelines from the pros who have been using a Storm.

First upgrade to .148(latest)

Then set it up to how you like it and explore, getting used to the storms features and problems, which most problems have answers here in the forums.

also look up threads on how to make your storm faster, better, ect...

- 2 spaced to insert period
- Hold Sym/Number key to lock
- Push BB button in Email/SMS twice to send instantly
- Hold Phone button for Contacts screen
- Hold Return button in App to fully close app (some apps do not close fully with this function)

Recommended Apps: QuickLaunch, Stoptilt & QuickPull

It doesn't say it's a refurb, but that he bought it recently and company provided mandatory PDA's so he can't use it anymore. It's got all original packaging and accessories.

Anyway to tell if it is in fact a refurb?

Sounds brand new, because if it comes with all the documents, cd, charger, etc, it's new.

Yep, says it comes with all original materials and 8gb memory card. Is it true new OS allows you to put apps on memory card now?

Since your going to be using it on gsm I recommend using 148 files with 90radio I heard it works great on edge just my two cents = )
