hey guys I just sold my storm on e-bay last night and I need to ship it off today during lunch. Im sure my answer is here somewhere already but I couldnt find it so I do apologize for asking if it has already been answered. I used unique phones unlock code last night to unlock the storm but I need to wipe all the other info and from what Ive found JL_Cmder seems to work correct? As well I needed to know if I use JL_Cmder to wipe it clean will that mess up the phone being unlocked? Or what should be my best course of action for cleaning the phone since I sold it as unlocked?

Thanks Im d/l BBSAK now.......... should I # Reset Blackberry to factory state removing any IT Policy or just wipe it clean?

It's very hard to believe there is a product out there easier than JL_CMDER?? By the way, JL will not erase the unlock...

hmmm ok now Im torn lol

Let me try it this way. I need to clear this thing out and get it mailed in the next hour to a guy in Brazil. Should I wipe it clean or restore it to factory settings?

Just restore it to factory settings! Is as if the phone jus came out the box...why bother with all the hassle as long as your information is erased that's all you need

crap I just wiped it! should I d/l and install something back on it for this guy or should I just stick it in the box and ship it?

You don't need to use any external programs:

Options > Security Options > General Settings> Hit BB menu button> Select Wipe Handheld

That will leave the OS intact but remove all personal data, like it would be if you just bought it. It will NOT re-lock your phone.

Ok guys thank you all for the help but I jumped the gun and wiped it clean. Now it just says reload software 50 when I turn on the phone. Where and how do I put an OS back on it for him?

Yea make sure you load the OS, maybe he/she won't kno how to do it and it'll be messed up if I got a phone with no OS...

yea I dont want to send the phone like that, I went into BB desktop manager and clicked on app loader and its loading the system 4.7 software now. Once that is done I just need to pack it up and ship right?

Edit: scratch that BB desktop manager will not reconize the phone now. Wow patience is a virtue! what have I done to this phone?
