This may be a long shot but I figured I would give it a try. I was cleaning my house and came across my old Blackberry Storm 1. It has received water damage and the phone doesn't work. The battery is shot (almost has a pillow look to it). I was able to plug it in without the battery into my laptop. I am not interested in using the phone again as a phone, just looking for some life to be put back in it to view old pics and see old messages. Any recommendations...after I see whats on it then I want to discard the phone. Any info would be great and really appreciated!!

Will the computer even recognize it without a battery ?

You need a working battery. And even then it might not work.

If that's the case , get a cheap battery on eBay.
Charge the phone , then plug it to the computer.
Hopefully , the information can be retrieved.
