Hey guys..i currently have an iphone(att) and got a new storm recently. The storm is UNACTIVATED. It came with a Verizon/vodaphone sim card and I took it out...and put my AT&T in. NOW comes to the hard part...I am trying to unlock it, but DOES IT HAVE TO BE ACTIVATED FIRST to unlock it? I tired to go in advanced settings, then SIM card, and enter a unlock code but it wont let me at all. Heres what my screen says

Not that I know of. The device needs an official unlock code for the device. You can get one from Verizon wireless global tech support but you need to be traveling outside the country or something. I've nevern tried to get an unlock code so I don't know gow hard it is to get it.

there is a sticky and some other posts on how to do it if you have an official code. You only get a few tries before it locks you out.

you will not get the code if you do not have a active verizon account I can almost guarantee it...
