After exhausting my Verizon corporate store options, I stopped by Best Buy, who had 9 Storms in stock.
Although BB offers a complimentary $50 headset with purchase, I lost my new every two discount. I couldn't do any better than $216 out the door (sales tax).
Once home, a quick call to VZW customer service to adjust my plan, and a brief note of dissatisfaction over the running around required to find this wunderkind.
30 minutes later, I received a call back from thr Verizon rep to advise that she was able to credit the NE2 discount, even though they were under no obligation to pay it.
That's great! No mail-in rebate. Free headset. No waiting until December 5th or 15th or whatever they're estimating now.
