My storm music player with headphones aren't that loud, i like my music really loud.
and also sometimes it goes from loud to quiet

You're prolly experiencing the "Audio Boost Bug". Audio boost works fine until a call or msg comes through. At which point it cuts off, despite the setting. And will not re-engage without rebooting the phone.
