I was trying out multitap for portrait mode, but it has no option to use like autocomplete. It just does the first letter rather then make words.

Is there a way to set word completion ON for multi-tap? Cant seem to find it

If many people have done it then why don't you try the search method? It should be easy to find then. Because I just searched for it and all I could find was people complaining that they couldn't do it. Not one person could say how it was done.

So go ahead, prove me wrong. I would love to know. And then tell me how bad the forums have gotten...

And where exactly are you finding this predictive input... in what options menu? Since there are about 800 of them.

I found input options under Language. I have everything checked off, including predictive input. And no, sorry, not T9 word.

Uncheck predictive input, then check it again

then do the other things i said and your multi-tap is now T9 (predictive input also includes muli-tap)

mine were all checked, and it wasnt doing it, so i unchecked, and rechecked for both sections and it now has T9

You are one smart cookie! Now you should make a thread telling people it is possible.
