I'm tryin to use my Storm as a Modem, but am encountering some problems. Here is where I'm at right now.

I'm running BB Desktop Manager Version 4.7.0.25
Standard Modem is on COM 4
Maximum Port Speed is 115200
Under Ports I have:
RIM Virtual Serial Port v2 (COM4)
RIM Virtual Serial Port v2 (COM5)

With Device Manager running, I go to "Query Modem", it says Communicating with modem, this may take several seconds, then I get the Blue Screen of Death! I've tried this a few times, and have uninstalled and reinstalled the BB Desktop to no end.

Can anyone help me out with this? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Download VZ Access from verizon. You need this to dial out or you can create your own modem connection (more complicated)

Thanks for the advice. Unfortunatelly, or fortunatelly, I'm not on the Verizon Network, so I'm needing to establish a modem connection without VZ Access...

Thanks for the reply. That looks like it's going to be my only alternative, as I cannot seem to resolve the Blue Screen of Death issue any other way....
