Not sure what is causing this but it seems like a battery pull a day is what it takes to keep the memory leak away. File free was around 12000000 this morning. I did a battery pull and it went to 60000000. I just checked it and its around 9000000. As I write this it seems to have jumped to 10000000. I don't have any apps that are constantly pulling down large amounts of data.

Ok I just put my battery in and its resetting. we'll see what the file free goes to now.

Best thing to do is install softreset (do a search for softreset, I posted links to it earlier today) & once a day, do a softreset. That was you don't have to constantly take your battery door off to pull your battery. Its just LIKE a battery pull. Its a BB thing, RIM's units ALWAYS leak memory when they first come out. I've had 7 Rim Units in like 4 years.

That battery pull put me to only 39000000 this time. I will look for the soft reset thing. Thanks.

On kind of an off note. I cant believe that having the battery door off of the unit has that big of an effect on the screens click response.

I've also noticed this on mine, went through and got rid of task manager, all the languages, VAD, and the app store, over 50m free now......
I did notice on my pearl, after I installed 4.5 my memory jumped all over the place for a few days too...
