What I'd like to know is why you are rubbing magnets all over your Storm!

I wasn't but my moms hair clip was on the computer table. And it stuck to the back of my storm.

It's magnetized so that when it is put into a case that also has a "sleeper magnet" it will go to sleep, thus conserving battery.

Actually if you put a magnet in the middle of the touch screen it also is magnitized, but it is there to put it into hibernation.

Its because of the speaker. A speaker uses a magnet.

    Smart.
    Never thought about that.

But then again, that speaker is TINY.
so I would think that magnet would have very little power.

Tiny doesn't really matter anymore. Some speakers have neodymium magnets which regardless of size are really strong. For example, here is me levitating some.
