You should be able to get it back thru Desktop Manager

what shay said is correct:

plug phone to pc/laptop > open dm > apploader > make sure "blackberry messenger" checkbox is checked > next > load

Not to steal from the OP, but I am in a similar boat after upgrading to OOAKPC's hybrid. Missing BB Maps and BB Messenger. I have tried reinstalling the .148 OS on my PC and then when i go through Desktop Manager it only let me choose from my 3rd party apps that i have saved in my Backup folder? Any ideas?
