As would I.. With the option to switch back to full qwerty if I wished.. Might work out a lot better for those who like landscape but can't type on the full qwerty.
I got a burp on my storm the other day in the same vein, but different: in portrait, the suretype keyboard opened up with only one letter per key. I was dumbfounded for a second, then rotated to landscape and got the full qwerty. If it happens again I'll try to take a picture (and note what application I'm in!).
The weird thing was that it actually looked like it was a function of the phone that is locked because it worked the way you would think it would and it still predicted txt
And everything.

I've been looking through every setting I can think of to turn this on, but to no avail. Also ran into a post on the official BB forums where someone had this happen only while bluetooth was connected. Apparently the "fix" for him was a replacement Storm.
It's happened to me a few times when switching to landscape at the same exact time the keyboard is popping up. It's a bug. I think that the phone tries to pull both the landscape and the suretype keyboard up and gets that. Happened to me 2 or 3 times now. Whenever you get that, if you switch back to portrait then back to landscape it'll be gone. Your right tho, it is pretty easy to type on.
If the buttons were bigger, then I'd try that. I can't use Suretype because I can't tell which letter is going to appear when I press it.
That's the whole thing about sure type though. You press the key that the letter is on- and depending on the sequence and statistics it predicts the word you are typing. You don't really need to see the letter after you press the button...or did I misunderstand you
