Hi,

My first post here and I am completely new to BlackBerry's !

I know the Storm is very new ! I really need Japanese input.

I was hoping to find it via the Desktop Manager select the application manager. Maybe it will be available but just too early to find it yet.

Does anyone have extra languages available to for installation ?

I will search more and read the forum but any advice much appriecated!

I do not want to return the Storm but I really need Japanese input.

I know that Japanese is supported on the BBs that are currently released, including the Bold IIRC.

I found this on RIM's website, it states it's available for Asian providers, but with Vodafone being as big as it is, I can't imagine they can't assist you with it:

Also, if you find any additional information, please share it as this will be factor for me when I pick up my Storm in the US.

I really do not want to go for an iPhone or iPod Touch ( using WiFi) but I do know the Japanese support on those is sweet

If I can't get this sorted within 12 days, then I think mine will be returned

Have you tried a new multi language pack that is available on BB site yet?

I know many Japanese subscribe to namikiteru service to enable Japanese input.

I hope to find a solution soon myself.

I am told that the Bold has full Japanese support, so frustrating that the Storm' support is not there.

but there is no input as yet. Site does not have any screen shots either.

Hi Everyone!

I have Japanese working but on the Bold...

just install

9000jEastAsia_PBr4.6.0_rel331_PL4.0.0.172_A4.6.0.1 90_CSL.exe from the Hong Kong site.

BUT you need to find the correct version for the Storm

Remember to delete vendor.xml from c:\Program Files\Common Files\Research in Motion\Apploader

I have Japanese working on my Bold using this free method
