I read i beleive in engadget or some website that they set back the storm to may of 09. its not true is it?

You're thinking of a new version of it that will be released then. The storm is still coming to verizon and vodafone in early november.

Actually, s/he's probably thinking of the new Storm/Bold/Curve/Every other blackberry that was "announced" or previewed today on Engadget/BGR. Kevin also ran a spot on it on the homepage.

RIM adding touchscreen to Bold-like QWERTY, US bound HSDPA Storm in May? - Engadget Mobile

here's the link.... not the storm but a storm/bold/jav hybrid sort of. and they are only expecting an announcement in may, if i read correct, and a Q4 release(so a yr from now)

It certainly looks like someone just copied a Bold keyboard and pasted it onto the Storm. It would be nice to have the option of having a physical keyboard for all the people who want one plus the touchscreen. I like having a lot of screen space on the Storm though

the image on BGR and engadget is fake, quite obviously a mock up.

its the 9900 pluto as kevin said on the front page it's a bold, curve and storm hybrid. for release Q3/Q4 2009 but considering the delays RIM have who knows.

yeah, obviously a photoshop but looks pretty cool. we'll all have a year to decide on the touchscreen keyboard of the storm.
