i need help.. how do i go about transfering my media and pics from my old memory card to the new 8gb that came with my storm

your best bet would be to put all your old media onto your computer and drag and drop it to your phone.

depending on what model media card you have and your computer you can either plug it directly into your computer as external memory or buy an adapter at best buy or most electronics stores which plug in via USB. then move it over by drag and drop to your blackberry. and viola.

i have a 1gb microsd...... do i need the the adapter??

yes i don't know of any computer yet that has a built in input for those, you'll find adapters relatively cheap,
