I tend to reset it twice a day. Maybe 3 times at most using the quickpull app. Can this cause any damage to the phone in any way? I just do it when my app memory dips below 30-35.

Every other day for me. My memory has dipped to 17-19 by then.

You have tons of memory. I clear my browser cache once a week or so and do a soft reset about twice a week. No need for multiple times a day but no harm either.
Enjoy your Storm and welcome to CB.

I reset once a week. HHC - if you're that low on app memory - something is wrong.

About once a week, usually after a freeze. I usually don't even check my memory.

I've only had to do a battery pull once (crosses fingers).

why does my app memory get eaten up when i don't have anything open...if i restart my phone i have 45.2 mb free space and then just by using it throughout the day, even though i'm going back and forth through apps and ending out of them, it drops down to 30 mb of free space. i know it's a remedial question but why does this happen??

Why would you worry about that.
Storm will reset by itself. It freaking happened on my old one 3 times a day...

But with new one I normally do that once a day, and only because need to try new software.

For some reason I haven't had a random reboot in 2 days now... hmmm....

Anyway, I reset it, via app, every night before I put it on the charger... It's a habit I've had since my Pearl....

This question makes me wonder....is the BlackBerry OS the new Windows? Just reboot and everything "should" work again :-)

Are you actually closing the apps you use? Rather than just backing out to the home screen and starting something new. If you do it that way all the apps you have run are still running. You can completely close an app by using the menu/close combination, or just holding down the back key for a couple of seconds instead of just clicking it.

I run into the same issue as genestorm. I'm anal about closing ever single app. Unless someone is using my phone. The app memory still drops throughout the day.
