You shouldnt have more then 2 downloaded to the phone. Many themes take up a lot of app memory, so if you want good memory you should have just 2. Ive seen 3 on a storm and the phone was very laggy.
Right now I have 3: elle, stock zen, and elcite urban. Normally I only have two which would be stock zen and the theme I normally put on, but I got urban and so far liking it that I may finally remove elle for a bit. You can always put the cod and jad files on your memory card so you can install them whenever you want....
How do I get those files onto my memory card to retrieve later? I have some themes that only had OTA install links. if I have the files on computer do just make a folder on mem card somewhere?

I only keep the default zen and the theme i am using on my device, I have a folder on my pc with the rest of the themes I alternate to, it only takes like 3 minutes to plug the phone into the PC and use DM to uninstall your current theme and install the new one all at once

To get the files if it is OTA you have to have another program installed on the computer to capture the OTA and save the files. However I forgot the name of the program, Im sure someone knows...
Once you get the files, just make a folder on your memory card, I use this path
blackberry>documents>themes: then the folder name with the theme in it.
You can use what ever you want though. To install them go to media and hit bbkey, click browse, or use files if on 5.0 and go to where you installed them to on your memory card. select the smallest size file as that is always the .jad file in my case and it will install.
Sounds complicated but it is pretty easy if you do it. Easier done than said lol.
