have peeled off the factory screen protector..i still have mine on.i think i wanna take it off..they say glass does not scratch..do you like it better with the protector on or off..thanks
I took mine off the day I got it, but immediately slapped on the screen protector from Verizon. It feels the same either way. Just run out a buy a 3-pack from Verizon. It'll last you a long time.
i pasted another screen protector on top of the factory protector. I just ordered bodyguardz for another layer of protection but i think i will peel off the extra screen protector before i attach bodyguardz. Then im going to add another layer with blackberry skin. I have this plastic case right now and i think it makes the Storm too bulky.
I guess if the factory one still looks OK their is no reason to take it off. I am also currently using the VZW screen protector and switch it out usually once a month.
I also tried the Invisible Shield and thought it was awful; way too thick and rubbery feeling. Waste of $20 in my opinion. So $9.99 for 3 VZW protectors is the way to go I think.
Mine started to peel off after like a month so I went to verizon and bought the 3 pack as well It's awesome I've had the first one on since beginning of february and it's still perfect.
the factory one was not meant to be used for protection during shipping. I had mine on for about a week before it started scratching and getting cloudy. Replaced it with the verizon-branded screen protectors made specifically for the Storm and it's so clear now.
I still have my factory one on there though it is starting to mark up a little bit. They gave me a pack of protectors so once it comes off one of those will go right on.
I took it off, then put on a new one, didnt like the way it looked or felt so took it off. Have had no protector for months and the screen looks great, no scratches, and easy to clean.
I had the factory one on until it started to scratch...i didnt like the scratches so i bought the invisible shield...or whatever it is called from ZAGG...i caught a sale with them so it was worth it. I kind of like the extra tactile sense it gives.
