Many many people seem to be requesting this so i'm going to show you how!


From the menu do the following in order:

Options > Localisation(Language for VZW) > Input Options

Predictive Input
Spell Check


Both of these will be default enabled. Uncheck both, and then recheck them. Back to options menu

Now go to Screen/Keyboard >

Portrait View Keyboard = Multitap (Reset to multitap if it already selected)




Voila, you now have working T9 on your Multi-tap portrait mode.

t9 is exactly the same as suretype except the keyboard is the standard telephone keypad (2 = ABC, 3 = DEF...) instead of the 2 letter per key layout(QW ER TY...)

i missed having T9 on my winmo phone but with SureType it's basically the same thing. good post tho

Thank you very much for the instructions, but I have followed them exactly (several times) and have been unsuccessful in getting T9 to work. It continues to be regular old Multitap.

Anyone else not able to get this method to work successfully? FWIW, I'm running .75 official version?

I have .75 and was using T9 earlier today. It was on accident however but I was using it.

Same after...I have version 4.7.0.75
