    lol @ this.

    1. Do you have DM installed?

    2. What Windows OS are you running? Vista and 7 should find the drivers automatically.

    3. Do you have "Mass Storage Mode" enabled?

    lol sorry, I don't have AIM, not in like 10 years now.

    DM= Desktop Manager.

    You should be able to hook your phone up to the XP machine, and let it do it's thing, and find the drivers itself (it's been years since I've used XP maybe someone else can confirm if this works).

    Then, as long as Mass Storage Mode is on (you said it was), you can open it just like a removable hard drive in Windows Explorer and edit the files there.

    Just plugged my Storm into my XP laptop. I even cancelled out of the find drivers dialog. I can still access the Storm like a hard drive. It is listed by name (Blackberry1 and Blackberry2) in explorer.

    Blackberry1 is internal memory and Blackberry2 is the media card.

    PS: do you have password enabled on the phone? If you do, you need to put it in when you connect the phone. There should be a popup on the asking for it on the phone.

    Also, unless you tell it to automatically connect with mass media mode, there will be a popup that asks you if you want to enable it.
