I know that if you'll search for that error message, you'll get find some threads on this. I remember seeing them, but I can't really look them up for you, because I don't recall what the specific error message said.

the exact words are "could not start the camera. close other applications and try opening the camera again"...but ok thanks ill try that

ok i tried looking up stuff but there really isnt anythin on it is there another way i can fix my camera by not reinstaling the os nd taking it some were bcuz its unlocked nd i cant really get it unlocked again.... any suggestions???

Press on the camera part itself and the camera should pop back on

Once it's unlocked, it's always unlocked...even if you wipe and install new OS after new OS.

I'm having the same problem.... I tried everything... I went from 5.0 back to .148 to .151(currently) I even tried to scan a barcode for the new bbm5 and camera still wont appear.... I uninstalled all the apps and rebooted and still nothing.... It started after I tried to do some shrinking of the OS 5.0..... any other suggestions.... I'm glad I'm not the only one out there having this problem

Camera,Video camera and scanning barcodes wont work.... Black screen for about 5 seconds then that warning message appears...

Pull the battery out of the phone while it's on, let it sit for 30 seconds or so, then put it back in and let the phone restart.

That error message is for a hardware malfunction with the camera. You must either pop the camera back in or bang it around, or get a new phone like i did. Good luck

Press hard (really hard) on the camera lens it self, it won't crack cause it flexy, if you get a clicking sound it's good. It will plug back the lens to the socket, then try battery pull. This problem is due to bad lens/camera connection. Good luck
