I'm new to CB and have been sifting through and searching threads and how-to's with no luck. Here is my situation:

My phone is an Unlocked VZ storm, my SIM card and data plan are provided by ATT. I had upgraded my phone's OS from 4.7 to 5.0 (...328). I've been unable to get email, browser, and messenger going. I'm' afraid to wipe my device because I don't want to lose the unlock (is that a legitimate concern?).

Before upgrading my phone was fully functional. Can anyone direct me to a fix or offer some advice?

Thanks for your help in advance.

Your phone will remain unlocked even if you wipe it!

As far as getting your functionality back the only thing I can suggest is try the various options in the below link.

Thanks DJM. I'm going to wipe it and work with OS 4.7. I thought the functionality of 5.0 would be great to have but woe am I not. Thanks again.

I love 5.0 OS. Have you tried wiping your Blackberry and then trying 5.0 OS again?

    qnelson22,

My unlocked 9530 was working perfectly w/ the old device OS (4.7). I thought I would update to 5.0 and join the cool kids and now my Storm doesn't recognize my ATT SIM card. Not sure what to do or where to go for help. I'm considering calling ATT for troubleshooting assistance.

I would try reloading the OS again and seeing what happens.

    Hello folks,

I have downgraded my OS two times and reloaded the OS twice as well with the same results: my ATT SIM card is not recognized at all. Any guiding tips or advice, or resources I can tap would be appreciated I'm in 11th hour w/ this phone and getting ready to ship it back to the vendor.
