I've been recording things with the voice notes feature to make into ringers. My storm will let me make anything recorded into the phone call ringer, but cant apply it to contacts or message alerts. I've tried using desk top manager/ media manager and dragging the files from the voice notes folder to the ring tones folder and it works, but when you exit the manager an alert pops up on the tool bar saying files couldn't be saved. hence the files aren't in the ring tones folder on the phone. CAN ANYBODY shed some light on this subject please, and no I cant buy the ring tones the noises I'm after aren't on any websites, etc....
Go to your contact-select edit-select "phone" under custom ring tones-select the drop down menu under ring tone-scroll to the very top-select browse-select voice notes.
