Hi guys, I use a Storm 9500. I loaded the 5.0 OS but the Radio would not go ON. the phone now displays "Service Required". When I try edit the CDMA to enter my cell numer, it comes up with an message "Could not read data", then it close's the CDMA screen. Anyone know how I can get my BB working again?

Did you load the correct OS?
9500 is GSM not CDMA......
Yes you are correct, I checked in the "About" and it states "(3G, CDMA)"
I think when loading the 5.0Ver, the GSM was changed to CDMA, yet this is a GSM model. How can I change it back to GSM?
Go to Options, then Mobile Network, then change the Network Tech setting to GSM/UMTS
I have done this and the phone still does not pick up any network. I am based in South Africa, only GSM network here. However I have managed to install a CDMA OS on my Storm 9500, I have tried using the JL_cmder to format the phone and load the correct OS for GSM handset, however is remains on CDMA. Options..>About.
So, you loaded a CDMA OS on your GSM phone and started getting issues. After that, you wiped with JL_CMDER and then loaded in a correct GSM OS on the phone and you're still getting issues? Do I understand that correct?
