I just purchased an unlocked blackberry storm. it was a telus phone but is running on the rogers network now. the phone works well as does email, and sms. browser works but i cant seem to run the app world or install any apps, just get a system requirements message error every time i try.
I do have the blackberry data plan, so thats not the issue.. are there maybe some settings i need to change in the phone itself.. ???

somebody has to know something, ive been checkin out other posts and it seems like lots have unlocked storms... are you guys getting full functions...... I might have to go back to my iphone if i dont get any help.. good thing i havent sold it yet

i am not sure but i was told by a VZW in-store rep that once "UNLOCKED" not all functions would work ... i don't know if that's what you are having

go to: options > about > 3rd line > wat does it say?

if u running 5.0, app world does not work via os 5.0

also, some apps site do not recognize the 5.0 os, in which u may check out my site for some apps that allows u to download to ur phone...

you cant use those apps on 5.0.140 until the apps are updated to work with 5.0.xxx

and it wasnt realeased officially, so thats why nothing is compatable with it.
theres a thread titled apps compatable for 5.0 somewhere in the storm os section
