i just got a blackberry storm like 3 weeks ago. the headphones have been working great (the ones that came with the phone and i tried my skull candy ones) but the other day when i put my headphones in it didnt work. the music came out of the speakerphone and i was in class. let's just say that didn't go over too well with my teacher... can any of you tell me what's going on?

it seems that sometimes the phone does not know there is a headset plugged in, pull the headset out and try plugging it in again it may not be making a full connection in the port
Yeah it detects headphones electronically, so it switches over if it detects them...my suggestion would be to reset the device with a battery pull the next time it acts up. If that doesn't fix it, you should have a talk with your phone carrier to see if they'll hand you a new one.
