I was at a funeral and i put my phone on silent.... when the funeral was over and we were all standing outside my phone alarm went off, i think it was a task reminder! Had that been 5 minutes earlier i would have been shot!
go into your sound preferences and choose vibrate and make sure every notification is set to either vibrate or silent. that happened when i first got my 8830. i learned reeeaaal fast.
Think it was a fluke or instead a message alert b/c sound profiles include/cover all reminders.
Re calls/msgs: set all custom contacts 2 active profile for preloaded sound profiles such as silent 2 work...or create custom profile 2 override custom contact settings via sounds > custom profiles > add > name as u wish > set each function > new profile displays in sounds list.
