I know this was probably already covered, but I want to get rid of programs like Google chat, AIM, MSN Messenger, etc. They take up space and are annoying. How do you vanquish them from the Storm? I know there has to be a way.
BTW, those icons, unless you clicked and installed the app, are only shortcuts, so easiest way is to create a folder, and put unwanted icons in that folder, then hide the folder...
Options>Advanced>Applications>menu button>delete.
This has already been covered and it should be searched for first.
I'm not that dumb. I know how to delete a program from the phone. The one's I'm trying to get rid of are the ones that have not been installed but the multitudes of icons are cluttering up my phone. Google Talk, Yahoo Messenger, AIM, Windows Live, VZW Tones, Song ID, etc. These don't come up in the applications listing.
That's because that's the only thing you can do. They are pushed as part of the service books and even if they are removed, they will come back after the next battery pull/quickpull. No way around that.
you CAN shrink them out, but i don't suggest it for people who don't know to just hid stuff...and it wouldn't clear up too much memory, it's not really worth the time wasted on the action.
