I notice that the file system on the 8gb flash memory is FAT32 and the internal 1gb is just FAT or FAT16, is it possible to format it to NTFS and make the allocation unit size smaller?

I realize that if I change the external to NTFS then I would also have to change the internal but if that is done will the OS install or would it reformat to FAT?

I doubt it's possible. Even if you could, you'd likely brick your Blackberry since the Blackberry OS can't read NTFS.

NTFS is a proprietary Microsoft file system. So, no. Not possible.

The OS does not install on the 1GB of internal memory. Either way, no the BB won't recognize NTFS
