I believe that this was mentioned previously, but I thought it would be ok to follow up. I was running .75 until yesterday now I'm on .109 and using the GIST app my speed has increased from 84 avg to around 190 avg. (my high score is 242) I am testing in the same location of my house at the same time of day. The only difference is that my OS has changed. Awesome!

Understood, but I need to know how afraid I should be to mess with my OS...

I just changed my OS and if you follow the sticky its takes some time but not really all that hard. Two things as a noob that I was curious about was wiping the device (not necessary) and deleting the vendor file also not necessary because you are on Verizon. I followed the sticky did a battery pull, reloaded my backup stuff, battery pull, then I was golden.

this was my first bb i had no idea what i was doing. but i followed the sticky and had very little trouble. upgrading from75 to 109 runs gerat and very happy with it

True. I haven't heard anyone say that they bricked they're phone though, but I also don't want to learn the hard way.

My phone so far isn't bad actually, It's not too laggy the internet isn't slow, only certain forums can be kind of annoying but whatever...and everything else works fine. I think it would be better to wait until verizon brings out the official release so then even if our phones fu1k up, we have someone to blame

Many people are happy with .109 and many aren't from what i've seen in teh forum, different problems for different people. Meaning something must have went wrong for some people for a certain unknown reason, I'm scared to mess around with my storm too much considering it's running fine right now

I just wish i can get these contacts backed up thats the only thing worrying me now lol

You use the desktop manager to back up your contacts. I loaded the new OS and none of my contacts were there-mild panic--then I restored my files and everything was the same including Android X theme, icon placement, and custom folders.

This OS is super fast, everything from the speed of the portrait to landscape mode...
or even from the way the camera doesn't black out when you take a picture....

I loaded .109 (from .75) and noticed the same thing. On .75 my fastest on GIST was 92kbps. After upgrading to .109 my first run on GIST was up to 229. Although I have had slower runs since then' it seems 109 has made a noticeable difference on internet speed.
