Hey everyone,
ive read a bunch of places that a lot of people always erase their event log or dont even have one. What is the event log? what does it do? and What will erasing it do? is there any important information or anything stored on it?
Thanks for your help
Yep Morf32 is correct., the Event Log displays your system's recently run events and processes, if you are having an issue with an application or service this info may help in the troubleshooting., then again that would be a rare event so you could be better off just erasing it, it will free up some valuable memory. Hit 'ALT' 'L'G'L'G' to see it and erase it, while there you may want to uncheck all of the boxes and the 'LOGS' will stop or get a free app. called 'LogMaid' that will do it for you periodically among other things. Good luck, Ray...

And while you are correct in most of this statement, unchecking all of the boxes just hides them, it doesn't disable them. If you want the log to be cleared, you still have to go in and clear it, even if the events are hidden. Unchecking the boxes won't stop the phone from logging the events... you just don't see them.
