This should be a quick fix and your help is appreciated.
Just got a replacement Storm.

1. I have sent and re-sent service books
2. I have registered the device via host routing table
3. I have done several battery pulls
My device shows that it's receiving e-mail and txt with reminders and tones but they are NOT showing up in their respective folder. I deleted my gmail account and it's now working but what about my other email and SMS.

I'm at a loss as to what to do next and I know the knowlegeboard here has the answer. Thanks!

For emails, did you make sure your new pin is registered correctly on Verizon's BIS site? That might be a problem if not done correctly. As for SMS I'm not sure. That might be a problem for Verizon themselves.

I just installed .230 last night. I do not get SMS notifications on the home screen.

I do get email notifications.

I just resent service books, so we'll see what happens.

If all else fails, wipe your phone and restore it. Its a pain it it'll fix almost any problem.

if you're not getting the message waiting notification icons on the top of the screen when you get messages, could be a theme issue

remove all 3rd party themes from your device (temporarily at least)

go to options>advanced options>accessibility>grid layout should be "default"
