Does VZ keep track of the sites you visit from your BB???

I was searching google the other day, and found an xmas I was going to get my wife, and for the life of me cant remember the link now. I thought I bookmarked it, but I guess I didnt...

Sorry... I am a noob to BB...

I tried history, but I cant find it.... I think my wife cleared the history on the phone, because she was using it to find a gift for me also using my phone, and didnt want me to find out what she was looking at...

I guess she was bored on the long trip we took this weekend... lol

Somewhere on some computer system inside Verizon, there is a record of every site you visited. But short of a court order, or in this day and age, just the FBI asking for it, they aren't going to give that data out. It's unlikely stored in such a way that it's easy for them to figure out who was looking at what. Possible, just not easy.

    So for your purposes: No.

Why am I the only one that's not buying this story? I guess maybe I'm just always skeptical when I hear these stories, but if you had any clue as to what you were looking at (present wise), I'm pretty sure you could search and find it again on the web. This sounds more like a "I want to see what the spouse was looking at on this phone." Something we've heard numrous times on these boards... :sneaky suspicions:

I was just about to say this. Most likely, besides the legal issue, Verizon probably prohibits their employees from acessing this info.

I would imagine after the events of the last couple months, vzw is the LAST carrier that will peek at any account activity on the side..

Just ask her what she wants for Christmas. If all else fails, buy her diamonds.

    I'll translate the OP:

can my wife find out I was looking at porn on the Storm by calling vzw even though I've deleted the browser history?

Verizon will tell you no and the answer is yes.

AOL said for years "we don't log chats"...until there was this big news story about a woman who was attacked...they were trying to find out who attacked her. Her ISP records showed that she was on AIM right before she was attacked. They thought she was chatting with her attacker (chatting about getting together, etc). The authorities went to AOL and, like 15 minutes later, they were like "Here you go"...full transcript of her AIM chat...with her attacker.

EVERYTHING is logged, EVERYTHING is tracked, there is NO anonymity on the internet.

Will they give you that information if you ask them? ****-to-the-no.

That information is logged ABOUT you...not FOR you.

    LOL at that...

She could care less about that... **** we have looked at that together on the phone... (she enjoys it from time to time)... Plus when I told her it could be done, she said she had to see it...

We do go through verizon's network to hit the net. Not sure if they do log anything but if they wanted to I'm sure they could.
