I sync with my Outlook 2003 daily. When in the office I keep my Phone pluged in since this when I update outlook contact information the most. There are times I want to use the Dial option from Outlook to call a contact.

My problem is to get Windows 7 to see my Storm (I) as a device it can dial. Does anyone know how to do this? Free would be great.

I have a dell Laptop connected to my Storm (I) via usb. I am running Windows 7 64 home. When I look in the device manager I see com3 and com 4 assigned to a "RIM Virtual Serial Port V2 (Com 3)". I also see a Standard Modem assigned to Com3, but if I query it I get an error the modem is off. Before you ask, yes the phone is on, and not in a black out stage.

Any suggestions, ideas, or cures?

I have almost the exact same setup and being able to use Outlook to dial using my BlackBerry would be ideal.

Is there some fundamental limitation preventing this?

Or is this just a case of 'nobody's written the app yet'?
