Desktop Manager recognizes my storm as soon as I connect through the USB port (shows my pin). The connection is also recognized in XP's device manager - shows a blackberry connection. The wierd thing is that when I go to My Computer, there is no sign of my unit. It should be showing up as a storage device and always did until I got my first replacement storm, after which - no dice. All of my memory options settings are correct, and I still can't get the unit to show up in My Computer.
Has anyone else with a replacement storm had the same experience? (On the RIM board, the guess is that in the course of being refurbed - which all replacements are - the techs adjust some internal switch which makes mass storage mode non functional and thereby prevents My Computer as seeing it as a storage device.
Any help on this - particularly a fix - would be hugely appreciated
