    newbie here can I change the default web browser? rather than going to applications and starting it from there?

    I doubt it. I don't think that's possible on any blackberry as of yet.

    There is an option in the Browser settings and in the GPS settings to change their default services, but the only thing to choose is BlackBerry Browser and BlackBerry Maps respectively. I wonder what those options actually do because they apparently don't change the default browser or GPS program.
