Help! I recently bought a storm from a friend and finally got it activated on the alltel network. The only problem i've had so far is attempting to change the email settings so I don't get his email anymore.
Unfortunately, I need a user name/password to access these settings and he doesn't remember what they are. I've tried to create a new account, but no luck, since there's already an account associated with the phone.
Any advice on how to get around this?

If you want to set up and BB email specfic to the device you need to have the PIN removed from the server of his email

you could try wiping the handset back to factory defaults.

BB options > security options > general setting > bb button > wipe handset

Is that just going to reset the settings or wipe everything clean?

if you do the wipe it will wipe it clean, so if your info (contacts) are on there make sure you back up first

    How to back up?

Install desktop manager to your computer (can be downloaded from blackberry.com)
Select backup option and it will backup all your info.

You could also select device switch wizard and that will back up any 3rd party stuff you may have put on there as well
