What's your app memory at (Options > Memory)?

Try a battery pull with the device on, and then try downloading the update.

It may be because you have too many apps on your phone. Are you trying to do the OTA update? U recommend doing the update via desktop manager.

yea..i agree.. do a battery pull and when your device comes back on from booting up, try to see if you can do the update

If above fails, you will likely need to delete either some apps or some e-mails or both so you will have enough memory storage so you can download the instal files to your phone prior to installing.

So would it be abnormal if I did a battery pull, deleted all of my emails (there were definitely too many, but now they're ALL gone), and uninstalled about 6 applications so far (Google Maps, AP News, Viigo, an Uno game, Pandora, and another one I never used) and I still don't have enough application memory to upgrade? I only went from 1.6MB available to 2.1 available after uninstalling Pandora, which I thought was very strange. I need some help.

yes. and what's interesting, I haven't installed anything but now my free app memory is 539 KB. I did a bit of browser surfing, but that should take up that much space, should it?

Oh, that's because I had an app open accidentally. It's back to 2.5MB now

Unless just about all apps open (close out via menu > close/exit) think ur phone on fritz!!! Don't have knowledge 2 help but think u shd do backup/wipe. Wait for another reply or call carrier tech support.

I'm having the same problem. It says I have to get rid of 5.7MB after i deleted all my emails and transferred all pics to media card. What I think is odd, is that I have 800 some odd MB of free space and that deleting 5.7MB would leave me with about .2MB of personal data.

that's interesting. I've always been faithful to close down apps after using them, and so I guess I'll have to track down live help then. But the last time I went to Verizon to get some help from them, the guy told me to go here (yeah, thanks... tried that mr verizon guy). So we'll see if I can find someone with some BB experience that can use it and do some diagnosis.

That's kind of good news, though. I was wondering why I only had like maybe 10 installed apps and all my memory was gone. So hopefully I can figure this out.

U likely mean 8000000 bytes file free under Options > status. Options > memory > app memory free space shd have u @ ~8mb.

    U need @ least 20mb 2 do upgrade i think.
