I use metrofax. I can send and recive 1000 pages per month for $13. Faxes are sent as email and are received as email.
You send the email from your registered email account to the fax number @ metrofax.com, e.g., [email protected]. The body of the email is turned into a fax cover page, and any attachments are turned into additional pages for the fax.
When someone sends a fax to your number it si turned into a pdf file and attached to an email sent to you.
It works great and saves paper.
I even have a ringtone that says "facsimile" whenever a fax is received.
I have visual voicemail.....how do I receive faxes on my blackberry? how do I send faxes from my blackberry too? This is cool stuff.
When someone calls you and is sent to your voicemail, they are given the option to send a fax to you. You have to call your voicemail and under administrative options you will find your fax options. You can then assign a number to have your faxes sent to from your phone.
Just give someone your number as a fax number, when they fax it to you, you will get a voicemail notification (Not like the visual voicemail notification) and then you tell it where to send the fax... and hey presto, you get your fax.
No. If your company network has the capability, you can send a doc from your phone to any fax on your network. If any numbers are related to any specific networks, you can send from your phone through the network to just about any fax anywhere in the world.

That is so cool. We learn something everyday! I called my voicemail from work and sure enough the fax options are there! Very cool!
