Will this work with 5.0?
I ask this because I will see a friend and give her the phone and I can't check until I do it for her.

Yeah, other than the first line (which is a link to different process for 6.0) all of it was written for 5.0.

Note that you have to have an active BlackBerry Data Plan for it to work.

It looks like it was written for 4.7

So... MMS will not work without an active BB Plan?
She has a Pearl Flip 8220 and it works, would copying her servicebooks(4.6 i think) not help at all?

Well, my point was that it wasn't written for 6.0.

MMS uses data on BlackBerry devices. You need an active BlackBerry Data Plan.

She doesn't have data at all.
and she has a Blackberry Pearl 8220.
she just has unlimited messaging.
