Is there any way to speed up how fast you can take a picture? Seems like I have to hit the button a hundred times before it finally snaps. Very bad when you want to take action shots!

Make sure you have as few applications running in the backround. This should help speed up the cameras response time.

Use the search option inthe future this question has been answered multiple times.

and of course, keep your phone upgraded with the latest OS version. .83 was a big improvement for me with the camera, but not a great OS version. I see that .85 has been leaked today but I can't download & test until I get home tonight.

You shouldn't have to hit the button more than once. Just hit it once and wait. Pressing it a bunch of times probably just slows things down.
