Hey guys, I'm with Telus, I was just wondering about my name showing up on someone else's caller id, right now when I call a land line it comes up as unknown name, could telus make it so it comes up as my name?
You would have to call them, just call 611. I believe if you are hitting an actual Telus tower this would work, when you hit an Aliant or Bell tower it doesn't transmit the name, only the number.
This is just my experience. Aliant only transmits names on its landline phones, and even then it is spotty at best.
Call 611 and they should be able to help. I know telus has the ability to make your caller ID say whatever you want if you get the right rep...someone I know got theirs to say "Curious George."
I just got off the phone with Telus and they said that they cannot do this. I find that kind of silly. I know Rogers can do this because my father is with rogers when he calls it comes up as his name.
