I am buying the Blackberry Storm on Friday (more than likely) but I have a quick question. I heard about the application store that they are planning on launching in March or April. Will I be able to get this on my Storm with a software upgrade whenever they release it or will this only go on newer models of the storm?

Absolutely. Most likely all you will need to do is an OTA update and/or resend your service books.
